War was a curse put upon the two quarrelling bodies of earth. It was as though God had wanted the countries to experience for themselves the devastating effect that they had put upon the world. And so they did. They had the worst of it. The war tore apart lovers, tore apart family, tore apart friends. The war shredded love, shredded protection, shredded friendship.
