Regulus Black was having a terrible first week back at Hogwarts. He couldn't stand his fellow housemates' abysmal behavior, his older brother kept pulling horrendous pranks left and right through the castle with his stupid mates, and someone had stolen his signet ring, the precious heirloom only the Black heir had the honor to wear on his left pinky finger.

He was certain the world was conspiring against him and if things continued this way, he would surely succumb to the infamous hereditary Black madness before Christmas came knocking on his door. That, or he might beg his cousin Bellatrix to end his miserable life.

Unfortunately, things went from bad to worse when she crossed his path. Everywhere she went, trouble soon followed. Her, the oblivious Hufflepuff girl, with her big doe eyes and ridiculous long eyelashes, and her fat, thief of a niffler.
