After watching her parents fight for the final time, Opal Smith's brain cant take it, she suffers great emotional stress and passes out, only to wake up and find out she cant see. Opal now suffers from conversion disorder, and Opal's friends are going to stay with her until she gets her vision back, because the father has kicked out the mother and Opal's father would rather work in the office than take care of his daughter. Opal will now have to rely on her friends through it all.
