4 average eighth-graders, Valerie, Stacey, Lily, and Ethan find a stamp lying around in their middle school that makes them see a room that nobody else can see when they put it on. In the room, they find a portal that takes them to a magical world where they meet Adrian, whom they quickly become friends with. Little did they know at the moment that all of them were powerful magical people in their last birth (children of the gods also) which causes them to be in danger of death all the time because many do not want them alive. Later on in the story, Valerie, Stacey, Lily, Ethan, and Adrian find a book with a prophecy about the god of the dead (Anthrax) attacking the school when all reach the age of 13 (Ethan and Stacey's birthdays are Sep 29 and Oct 2) and the only way to stop him is by finding the sword that is stored in the land of the gods.
