As twenty-year-old Franka embarks on a journey through the continent of Gondwana to record her first music album and solve the murder mystery of her music manager Georgia in the year 2047, she also gets initiated into a secret society that works quietly behind the scenes to change the world with new technology and new ways of conducting business. The society was founded in 1947 by Evelyn Samuels, an ex-fiancée of one of the world's richest men Noah, who travelled herself through Gondwana to escape the grip of her old life, and both timelines intertwine in the novel.

The distinction between good and evil gets blurry when Franka discovers that the secret society she just became a member of might not be as great as she initially thought. And that her 'evil boss' from the music label might not be as evil as it seems.
