Endure and Survive

Freya Redbird Matthews and Leah Clearwater have been friends for as long as they can remember. During high school they were inseparable, even when Leah started dating Sam Uley-one of the most popular guys on the Rez.

Then things between the two get a little strained when Sam suddenly breaks up with Leah..for her cousin. Freya attempts to continue and nurture the friendship, but Leah was heartbroken, and became a different person seemingly overnight.

Due to Freya's compassionate nature, she supports Leah through every stage of her emotional roller coaster, but hating what was becoming of her friend, and having to deal with her own changes and revelations during this time.

Years later, it seems Leah has disappeared and the girls no longer talk until Leah's whole world shifts; Sam has reappeared in her life, her life is even more complicated than it has ever been and Freya's magic turns out to be more helpful than chaotic.
