When YOSIE ZIMMEL decides to hike the Tour du Mont Blanc with her two estranged best friends and her nudist-colony-recently-diagnosed-with-dementia mother, she expects a challenging but rewarding adventure. What she doesn't expect 
is how the trail has a way of revealing secrets and unfolding old hurts. 

Yosie is type A. With a plus. She doesn't like to swear, lose control, or let people down. She hopes that the 10-day, 110 miles hike will help her reconnect with her friends and her mother, who have drifted apart over the years.

On their journey through France, Switzerland, and Italy, they face not only the hardships of the trail, but also the clashes of their personalities and the secrets of their pasts. As her mother's dementia deteriorates, Yosie struggles to keep her safe and sane, while her friends challenge her rigid and critical ways, and share their own vulnerabilities. Yosie must confront her own demons and fears, and learn to embrace herself and others with compassion and grace.
