The Last Kingdom: The Dead Prince

Aiden, son of the late King Aethelred, nephew to the also late King Alfred. Aiden was a formidable young man, with striking features that mirrored his father's and a fierce determination that ran in the family. He was raised in the royal court of Wessex, surrounded by ealdormen and knights. From a young age, Aiden showed a natural talent for swordsmanship and strategy, often impressing his tutors Beocca and Leofric. Sometime during 870, Aiden was killed in battle against the invading Danes, and his body was burned by the enemy as a sign of disrespect. However, for nearly four decades, Aiden would be found alive imprisoned by the Welsh, by an imprisoned Dane, named Brida.
