"Greg?"
"Yes, Alex?"
"I want to make another Taskmaster."
******
When Alex Horne calls Greg Davies late one night suggesting yet another season of Taskmaster, his magnificent beast isn't all that convinced. But his not so little assistant insists that this season has a twist: there will be a mix of contestants, old and new, all there for the same sure fire reason. To try and win Greg's golden bonce. However there is another reason, unknown to Greg, why Alex is so desperate to make this happen. A reason he isn't even sure if he can admit.
At the same time, Ed Gamble, James Acaster and Noel Fielding, all Taskmaster veterans, are more than happy to play the game yet again. They are all curious however as to who they'll be up against and how things will play out. That is, until Beth and Evie arrive on the scene. The girls are up and coming comedians with a great love for the show, so it's no surprise that they are Alex's choices for the role of fresh meat. As well as this, they are two pretty attractive females.
With their dignity on the line, the contestants are more than ready to fight for their chance at another satisfying win. But along the way, the five of them will find that in this game, winning is only the beginning.
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
