Reincarnation.

A second chance at life-one that should have been filled with endless possibilities, an opportunity to start fresh, to carve out a new fate.

For some, it might be a miracle. A blessing.

For him?

Fate, as it turned out, had a cruel sense of humor.

Instead of waking up in a grand palace or with a life of luxury, he was abandoned.

His first breath in this world was thick with rot. His first sight was filth. His first lesson was pain.

He was abandoned-left to waste away in a place where only the forgotten remained. A nameless child in a world that never wanted him.

If not for Allyn, the ever-watchful voice in his mind, he would have died long ago. But even with her guidance, one truth became undeniable.

This world-his new world-was dangerous.

It felt too familiar. Its rules, its lands-whispers of something buried deep in his mind, just out of reach. And if that wasn't bad enough, the world he was thrown into wasn't just any world.

He knew this world.

And it was destined for ruin.

That was a problem.

Because while he didn't care about the people in it-well, maybe a few-he did care about the world itself.

After all, where else was he supposed to slack off?

And if he wanted to survive, he would have to be careful.

And if that meant rewriting destiny itself?
