Based in modern-day, Angel, a recently orphaned 13 year old, is new to living at Starlight Orphan Home for Girls. She quickly makes a new friend, Mae, a 14 year old, who is the headmistress's granddaughter.
Mercy, a 16 year old, orphaned at 5, is quite mean on the surface, but what about when you take off that mask?
Arlo is a superstitious 11 year old. She's really quiet and shy. What else is there to find out about her?
Charlie is a 20 year old caretaker, who had lived there until she turned 18, and is now working there in return for food and lodging. What might she know?
