When Annette Cygnet is chosen as a new recruit for the secretive government organization, the Agency, she is beyond excited. However, she soon finds out that the true purpose of the Agency may not be as innocuous as the rest of the world thinks. As Annette wrestles with the morality of the operation, she finds out that something even more sinister is going on behind the scenes. Will Annette be able to stop a global enterprise? Can she find a way to fix a system that is fundamentally corrupt?

The son of a company director is lost somewhere in the wilderness of post-debt-restructuring America, and hasn't been seen for three days. The company wants Ellie to go and find the kid, and Ellie doesn't know if she can. The one rule she's stuck to all her working life is to never to go to America, but now she might have to. She will have to, if she wants to save the daughter she hasn't seen in years. They believe that if the parents believe it, the kids will too. But it doesn't stop Alex. She and her best friends decide that they are going to try and stop this. But how? They have no clue.
