Dustin Finch is a typical 17 year old Canadian guy who chills with his bros and plays video games. "Dusty" as his friends call him, is on his school's Ultimate Frisbee team and the Cross country running team. He has dark brown hair and the bluest eyes pretty much ever. His life is a blur, each day blending into the next. Wake up, eat, go to school, try to pay attention, go home, do homework, eat, sleep then repeat.
His uneventful plans for the future are thrown down the drain as things are about to change...

"'Bye.' I say after Edwin's kiss. He gives me a small smile that honestly looks more like a grimace. It makes me a little uncomfortable having him kiss me in the library. His lips jerked up into a lopsided sneer as his hand snapped back to his side. The sudden movement left my back cold, as if his palm had been a source of warmth. "You've got to be kidding me!" His tone dripped with disgust. My eyes turned to questioning as I looked back up into his eyes. I brought my hand up to rub my nose, squinting at the slight pain. "What the hell." He grumbled. "I, Jay Julian, reject you as my mate." He, or Jay, said with venom lacing his voice. He quickly turned and walked down the now vacant hallway with no glance back. Rejection? What the hell was that?
