"I can't do it" I said "Come on baby you have to learn to fight for when I'm not here anymore, I won't be here to protect you" she said I turned to her "Mom this is too much why can't we just go back with dad" "Avianna! shut up and do it" she shouted I turned around and grabbed the gun in my trembling hands remembering everything my mom taught me on how to hold it I did just that. I held it up and aimed it at the target. "Ma I cant do it" I cried to her. Growing up hearing and seeing guns is one thing but to actually use one is a whole other thing She rolled her eyes "Avianna Erika Vega do you want me to go call Alejandro to encourage you?" "n-no! no ill do it" I said and turned back to the target Come on Avianna you can do it, just one little thing. I tried to control my breathing and tame my trembling hands, I aligned the gun to the target...... and I pulled the trigger. COMPLETED Living a life you didn't sign up for is hard, but doing so while feeling lost is harder. Dylan Amity is a musical prodigy. He could play a range of instruments, from the electric guitar to his violin. He lived, ate, and breathed music and was on track to becoming the orchestra's lead violinist. He was ready to become one of history's best composers. But he decided to place his dreams on hold for a while when he found out that his dad, the CEO of Amity Industry, was diagnosed with stage three lung cancer. His dad's death was expected, but the way he died wasn't. After the reading of the will, Dylan is faced with the harsh reality that you don't always get what you want. Following a short period of grief, Dylan is thrust into a world of business, responsibilities, and guardianship. He never wanted to be CEO, but now he has to because it's what his dad wanted. He also never expected to be Amber's, his thirteen-year-old sister's, legal guardian. Dylan has to put his dreams aside as he learns to navigate his new life without any experience of being a CEO or a guardian. Without a guide, Dylan is bound to feel lost, but maybe Rose could help. Maybe she could teach him how to deal with it. ••• Sneak Peek: "You know what, Amber? At least I'm fucking trying!" I gritted out, meeting her eyes that practically blazed with fury. "Yeah! Trying to act like papa. But guess what, Dylan, you never cared about me or what I did!" She screamed, taking steps back towards the stairs. "You never cared when I was a baby, you didn't care when I was a toddler, and guess what! You don't care now. You're only pretending to care to make yourself feel better. But you don't! No one fucking cares."

In the past year, Tallulah has lost her sister and her best friend, both to suicide. They guided her, helped her through life, and now they're gone, leaving Tallulah to suffer from the consequences. Without her sister and her best friend, Tallulah doesn't know who she is, but maybe it's time to find out. Maybe it's time to take one small step forward. Story is (hopefully) better than this description, but that's up to you to judge. All criticism welcome. ************************************* No copyright infringement intended on cover If you enjoy it, please vote and share it. Opinions? Just comment.
