I'm not going to pretend that I have amazing words of wisdom about dealing with the deadly disease. This is a raw, unreserved look at dealing with some real shit in a funny way.

From being taken from her dad and five brothers when she was just five years old. To being abused and brutally trained to kill by her step dad when she was just 7 years old. Her mom dying, causing her to runaway and change her name to not risk being found by her step dad. To her brothers finally finding her when she's fifteen and bringing her back home. Happy ending right? wrong. Shortly after finding out she has a neurological disorder called epilepsy, she is now faced with the fact that she has to find and kill her step dad AKA the man who traumatized her. yet throughout all this she still doesn't know who she is. TW: this book has scenes that may be triggering for some readers such as ABUSE and SEIZURES

Following the tragic death of his mother in a terrible car accident, a loner, 17 year old boy, Darius, must go about his life living with his mother's twin in a different state. Darius must balance the loss of his mother, the emotional and mental trauma of being with her at the very moment of her death, and his emotionally unstable father who left Darius and his siblings to recover from the loss of his wife. The young teen falls into a deep depression after the loss of his mother and becomes lost in the weeks following her death. His only rays of happiness are his baby sister, Leyva and music, both of which still don't manage to make him any more happy than he has been since his loss. Soon after these tragic events, Darius meets a girl at the oddest of times named Bryn. Bryn soon becomes his largest shimmer of hope and happiness and pulls him out of his dark depression. She helps Darius over come his mother's death and find helpful ways to avoid falling back into the depression, which in turn opens up new career paths for him. Two months after the two meet and become friends, they then become a couple. Darius' life then takes a horrible turn yet again as Bryn falls severely ill. Darius stays with her for the months that follow the sickness that traps her. Darius soon must face the choice of moving on from yet another loss, or falling back into the depression he had found after his mother's death.

I'm not to sure if these facts about cancer are true or not but I tried to do some research on it. But this story is mostly made for the reveal of the notes and not as much of other genres.
