Rejections piled up like unwashed dishes, and Kyle was ready to call it quits for the day. Then his phone buzzed. An email, from a company one he had never heard of before, LAMINAX Laboratories. They were urgently seeking hires, and there it is, the janitor role. The pay looked solid, and cleaning was the one thing Kyle could confidently say he was good at. Sure, the email felt strange. The lab was remote. Isolated. Sketchy, even. But for a guy who had lost too much already, the temptation to take the leap was too strong. Would Kyle reply to the offer and unknowingly set foot into a place of nightmares, or play it safe and keep his life normal?
