Alastor, a former killer/cannibal, transforms into a vampire hunter after a life-changing event. He plots to trick Lucifer into granting him freedom to escape the religion. However, as he gets to know Lucifer, he develops affection for the King. As they work on solving a mystery, they both experience unexpected feelings. Meanwhile, Lucifer is troubled by his wife's death, dealing with the uncertainties surrounding her death.
