Since creation itself, seven families existed to govern seven dimensions, accessed by Gates. They came together to build unique worlds from their ecosystems and create a council on the pocket realm of Vintra.
But one day, an eighth gate appears, creating a dispute between the seven governing families. Determined to have this new dimension to themselves, each family chooses a child to send to the new world and take it for themselves.
Unbeknownst to all, the Eighth Gate already houses a unique race of individuals.

And on his journey he will bring concepts and ideas from his own world together. He will meet many people on this journey of revenge. And who knows maybe he will find love along the way? Despite the title, the story introduces a vast expansion in the world and lore of gate as well as changes, but everything remains true to the Gate formula. At first It was supposed to be only a Gate X Marine fanfic but over time it developed into an alternative plot line diverging from the original so don't be surprised why the first season strictly sticks to canon.
