Tiber'ian can remember everything. From the moment he was born. That's how he knows that his parents stole him from his real family when he was only a baby.

All his life, ten-year-old Tiber'ian has longed to escape from his pretend family, who treat him harshly and force him to work hard at the magicae to prepare for a trial of magic. When he turns fourteen, he will compete against other fourteen-year-olds for the right to rule Silvae and become the next Prime Astrologer.

Tiber'ian doesn't want to be the Prime Astrologer. He just wants to run away and see if he can find his true parents. One day, an opportunity to escape presents itself, and Tiber'ian takes a chance. He decides to run away with Kaiyennah, Thea, Tajana, and Chadwick. But with his foster parents hot on their trails, running away won't be so easy.

Somehow, Kaiyennah and her friends need to obtain an object called the Memoria Animus, that will allow Tiber'ian's memories to project to other people, so he can prove that he was stolen at birth. Will they manage to find the Memoria Animus, or will the Astrologers find them first?
