A twenty year drought hit america starting in 2013. It spread from California to the entire country by 2020. America has almost no free access to water as the government, as a form of power, created new trade laws and now controls the country's intake from reserves, rivers, oceans, ponds, creeks, and country borders which are all fenced off by electric fences and heavily patrolled by soldiers. America, by 2023, has confirmed that they are in a 'Water Famine' and falls into a dictatorship. 15 year old Kennedy Thomas , a scientific genius, spent the past nine years of her life developing a chemical recipe to artificial H2O. After finding her work has been stolen from the government, she has a short amount of time to retrieve it and end the famine before the government destroys her and her research.
