Selene, only living child of Salem, lived a sheltered life, until her only act of quiet rebellion threw her into the path of an embittered young Huntsman. But to do so, they will need allies of their own... from an abused child with a dangerous fire-based Semblance, to a Headmaster who had long since lost all hope and courage. From a group of conspiracy theorists, to a brave Huntress whose eyes represent a deadly threat to both Salem and Selene. From a bandit leader, to an entire race striving for justice and equality.

Together, they will find that there is untapped strength in Remnant that wants no part of either side's goals, and is willing to carve their own path.

Y/N Rose was the son of Qrow Branwen and Summer Rose, and the oldest child of the Rose family. Due to Qrows' semblance and a messy end to they're relationship, He was mostly absent but he did try to be there for the children when he could. But everything soon went down hill when Summer disappeared. The children where heartbroken but Tai, saddened and enraged at Summers disappearance began to take his frustrations out on the children. Y/N would try to make the most of it, and protect Yang and Ruby from Tais' wrath, often times taking a beating and going without food for days. As time went on Tai got increasingly worse, and Y/N became the sole target of abuse. Yang and Ruby would try to help as best they could but it wasn't enough, Y/N could bare it no more. Y/N attempted to contact Qrow and reveal the conditions and fear they lived in, But Tai got him first. Beaten bloodied, Y/N would take a moment to recover and escape with his sisters.... But destiny had other plans. This book encompasses Volumes zero, one, one point five, two and three. Rwby is the property of Roosterteeth. Red hood and any comic panels are property of DC.
