As the cease fire ended, and the peace process falters further, Ukraine descends further into bloodshed. Besides a possible larger confrontation between Russia and the West, the renewal of ethnic and religious skirmishes is worrisome enough. To anyone with a long memory this all seems too terribly familiar, and for me strikes a particularly personal note given my family history...
