But Wei now works for the police as a profiler which has stopped him from being a medium, he doesn't have the same time and is usually exhausted after work. He can still see and talk to spirits but chooses not to. Several magazine stories appear about Black Robe with too many details, including all about Chu's strings and Daqing being a cat, but the author uses a pen name making it difficult for anyone to find out who he is. Eventually he is found, and shocks everyone when they learn that it is Zhao Yunlan. He wrote the stories when he was eight years old. The series was adapted from the book by Priest, who is a wonderful writer. Without her we wouldn't be able to enjoy following her brilliant characters.
