In the scorching heat of Texas, the tranquil life of old Sheriff Buddy Boyle in Prairie Junction shatters when a ruthless businessman's pursuit of oil turns the town into a battleground, leaving death in its wake. Desperate, Buddy seeks help in Dry Gulch and enlists the aid of retired Texas Ranger East Callahan.
