Beaumont Burke has wrought her fair share of havoc as a student of Hogwarts. Such is to be expected as a daughter of House Burke, enthusiasts of the sacred Dark Arts.

Little did she know she'd get much more than she bargained for when an attempt to bring her dead mother back to life goes very wrong. Now a husk of the witch she'd once been, Beaumont vows to fix her mistake.

So she does what any young pureblood of her stature would, she seeks death in order to get her mother's soul back.

As the captain of the quidditch team, one would expect the enemy to be on the other side of the pitch at games. Only she finds out that her team are loyal followers of the heir of slytherin, Tom Marvolo Riddle, who happens to have something she desperately needs in her ritual.

When an attempt to silence her after she becomes a witness to murder instead turns her into one of his horcruxes, he finds that he is unable to kill her.

They both become ensnared into one dark, wicked game.
