A twist upon a classic tale...

Erika Keaton had shut everyone out. She lost her parents and her grandfather just three years ago. Life has been cruel to her.... and seems to not cease with a bully she's had since kindergarten. All she has left is her grandmother taking care of her and a nine-year-old German Shepard named Nova. The only two she "doesn't" shut out from her world. 

But then a new kid comes to town. All attempts to keep her distance to not be hurt are failures and he opens her up again-only to leave her. 

But there is a secret he did not tell. He is a sea creature, a merman, Prince of Poseidon, God of the Sea. 

And he made a deal with a devil. 

More than this knowledge comes to the surface and Erika must nearly fight for her life as her world unravels in ways she never could have imagined.
