As our eyes locked, I felt a lone tear escape my eye. He looked equally lost as me, as if he's sorry. I internally chuckled - why would he feel sorry? He never had any feelings for me, right?
I'm just being delusional.
We could not avert our gaze away from each other. I felt my heart racing just by looking at him. I don't know if it's the same case for him or not, but I just want to say one thing: whatever it was, it was beautiful.
I knew it. I knew it was time to say goodbye to my silly school crush, time to say goodbye to the reason I wanted to live. Time to say goodbye and start a new life without having any feelings for him in my heart.
