They knew us once is a short story about a young girl who is moving away from the only home she's ever known. Not to mention the fight with her best friend after realizing she wasn't much of a friend at all. She meets a handsome young man and he just so happens to be the main person in her life for the next few weeks. But when she needs to go back home for prom, who goes with her? How do they fit together? And how will she tell him that she's not the girl he thought she was?
