Sure, they're friends alright. And sometimes, romance sparks where there is friendship. But denial and questioning are some factors to consider, and some things are hard to not think about when it's stuck in your head. This is what Kaede Akamatsu felt, however, she still needs to go through the journey of strengthening her bond with the person she most desires before getting what she likes.
And who might that person be? It's simple, the first person she met when she got into her new school; Rantaro Amami.
Her two other friends Maki Harukawa and Kokichi Ouma are there for her, but she doesn't know if she trusts them enough to let them on her little secret. What if he rejects her? What if he cheats on her? And the most important question: Is he the right person, and is she worth of being his? Being called someone's girlfriend sounds cool, but being called an ex-girlfriend doesn't seem so pleasant. But that doesn't mean she wouldn't try.
