𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐱 has been the Keeper of the Runners for the entirety of the three years the Gladers have been trapped in their 'home'. Being the first person to ever step foot in the maze and second person to be sent up, you tend to obtain that level of authority. He has always been the quickest on his feet and a patient leader, supporting the other boys through anything the maze throws at them.

He never saw the Glade as his home, no matter how many times he said "welcome home Greenie." Well, at least not until Newt came into the Glade, maybe in Lennox's case, home wasn't a place but a person.

And oh how homesickness hurts, when he is taken from you.
