The Guitar. The Piano. The Drums. The Violin. All four hold a quarter of Skye Brooks.
They describe her perfectly; but, the death of her parents shut her down, and her passion gets stored away. What happens when she and her little brother have to make that long jump from California to Virginia? New people, new problems. Their parents have left them under the care of their aunt and uncle - but then add two men that their parents have known for years and two classmates who'll turn out to be lifelong friends. They'll get more than what they've bargained for. Skye begins to learn that her new school need some old school lessons on old habits; but don't forget "Old habits die hard". She'll take what's become of her parents legacy and make it her own. She's gonna spread some West Coast love on the East, and make sure that they'll hear her out.

This story revolves around minorities, diversity, bullying, ethnicity, morals and a lot of other lessons. You may not see it now, but hopefully you'll stick around long enough to understand.

17 parts Complete

18 year old Vance Hopper was super into rock, metal, and all that kind of music. He even picked up drums and electric guitar, of course only playing when he was at his best friend's apartment due to his abusive father not allowing any of that stuff in his home. Surprisingly he had a crush on someone. Someone who's practically the opposite of him. Meanwhile, 17 year old Bruce Yamada is in the top orchestra, along with the top of his class, on violin. He's sorta into classical music, but never really listened to it outside of class and practice. Concerts always gave him a kick of energy, but after a while he wanted more, and his girlfriend was no help. She was plain, kinda boring, and was a goody-two shoes like Bruce. Ships: Brance: main Rinney: sorta mentioned Ages/grade: Vance - 18, senior Bruce - 17, senior Finney, Billy & Robin - 15, sophomore Amy, Gwen & Griffin - 13, seventh grade getting kinda unmotivated by the end :( achievement: #4 on brance (Aug 24, 2024)
