I am gonna have to resort to taking it into my own hands if I can't finagle five minutes alone with a mate." "If you didn't have to run off to that lunch I'd kiss it, make it better." Excerpt: I'm still sitting there when I see the big guy walk past the house. He's running his eyes over it and stops mid-movement when he sees me. But before I can decide to go ask him if he's lost he starts walking again. Then I do stand as I see him head up the Drive to Uncle Simon's house. I hurry out and around the gate. It couldn't be. The huge guy who looked like he hadn't shaved in a month or two, couldn't be Seth. He knocked. Just as the door opened I called. "Seth?" The big guy turned and smiled at me. There in that face was his smile. I just stared as he was clasped in arms and pulled inside. I hurry up and inside with them. I saw one of Seth's brothers calling next door. In minutes the house was full of my family. "What did you do take the last month to walk here? You smell like it?" Was the first thing dad asked. A deep rolling voice came from Seth as he chuckled and then talked. "Yes. I've been cooped up in trucks and planes for nearly two months solid, I wanted out, and no people. But if I can get two seconds I'll go and shower." He was let go. I just stared after him. He might not have grown taller but he was as big as Uncle Simon now.Concluida

This moving every year was getting annoying. I liked my job as an engineer but I followed the projects and most only lasted a year or so. I'd finished another and had to move again. Each time I moved I had to find a new Hyena pack. I was only half Hyena the other half wasn't something I liked to tell people. It had caused me to lose more than one boyfriend. No one wanted to claim a Hyena that was half swan. Those who liked me as a Hyena, since that was my shape, weren't so interested in having pups that might actually be Cygnets instead. I always told Alpha's my second half because I didn't want it found out later and have trouble because of it. My new Alpha had given me a room here in the rather large pack house. We'd gone all over and then she'd turned me over to the guy who roomed next to me. Jeff. "I don't mind if he wants to tag along after me for a time." I am a monster. I am a monster for leaving my father to die on that horrible day when they caught up to us. Maybe this is stupid to feel this way. I would have died either way. The only difference is dying in cowardice, for running away from your prison, or dying in pride, going down fighting for a noble cause, knowing that you changed something. Third book after Jaime, and Angelica. Angelica's sons are grown and they are meeting their mate. He had an idea, that was all. He wanted to help his people as a whole. He didn't think he'd be the first to try it out. His life was turned upside down, but maybe that was a good thing. But how does he cope with mates that are more wolf then man? It's hard to have a relationship when your mates don't talk much. (Told from Blake and Andrews mates point of view.) Excerpt: Okay, I admit that this was my idea but, I didn't think that Alpha would send me. Yes, pack exchange would help to freshen packs. Blood, minds, get packs that were stagnant and stuck decades in the past to move forward. I recommended enforcers, warriors and Omega's, positions that would do the most good. I was none of those. I was just a random beta with barely the wolf to keep my position and not fall down a rank. But my alpha said that the other packs were not so keen on doing it. So he was going to lead by example. All known packs were put into a database by the council and random generators paired packs to exchange people. Since alpha wanted to lead, we were first to get paired. We got paired with a pack across the country. My flight out had been uneventful thankfully. Most of my things had been shipped, I had two suitcases of things I was wheeling toward the exit of the airport. Supposedly this pack had sent someone to pick me up. Please educate yourself and if I do ever decide to rewrite this cursed book I will be sure to acknowledge some more of the things in this story that are a bit too much.
