Our previous two SmackDowns were both massive successes, and it's high time for another. You might remember the last one was heavy on the "game" elements, maybe even too heavy. This time we're going back to the basics and keeping it simple. It's just a motherfuckin' sci-fi SmackDown: a heated writing contest where contestants are given text-, music- and visual-based prompts, and then they need to write a short story around that, following which they're judged for their efforts and either move on to the next round or they get eliminated from the competition. But there's gotta be some kind of twist, right? For this one we're waxing nostalgic, we're looking back into our past. We're going back to our roots.

It eventually evolved into a complete robot uprising. It has been 5 years since the Automation War has ended. Billions of lives have been lost and disrupted. Out of the rubble, a new government has formed and risen to power. They call themselves The Shadow - a group of anonymous hackers who control every aspect of civilization.
