Twenty five years.

That was how long he had spent sacrificing his own happiness for the happiness of the family that didn't think twice before ousting him out of the very place he'd grown up in-- the very place he called home.

He had held out hope; desperation to be loved as unconditionally as he'd done all throughout the years.

Then came she-- light that had driven away the darkness.

Their love had been like two storms-- with the raging thunder and fresh raindrops which washed away the gloom.

But the very family he had spent so long protecting caused his light to be snuffed out. And she held his hand through it all.

It is said that separation brings people closer.
