This new story , reunites old friends Emma, Cleo, and Ricky two decades after their lives took separate paths. Emma has settled down with her fiancΓ© in New Jersey, Cleo has become a biology teacher in California, and Ricky remains in Australia with her faithful dog.
Their tranquil lives are disrupted when Ricky discovers that Mako Island, their childhood sanctuary, is on the brink of destruction. Racing against time and impending disaster, Ricky ventures to the island and finds seven young mermaids girls and boys trapped within the Mako chamber. With a devastating tornado looming on the horizon, Ricky faces a daunting challenge: to rescue the stranded youths and save the island from destruction.
Hearing what is happening on TV about the island , Emma and Cleo take the first plane . Despite the years that have passed and the distance that separated them, Emma and Cleo heed the call of friendship and embark on a journey to aid Ricky and protect Mako Island.

Moon Stones Gone Missing
Erik is back, and he has a plan: to take all the moon ring stones and forge them into one huge stone to reopen the merman chamber on Mako Island. Sirena, Mimmi and Ondina are put on the case by the mermaid council, and with the help of Zach, Evie, Nixie and Lyla, must stop Erik. But when they have the stones from their rings stolen, they realise they need help from Mermaids who don't have moon rings... Humans that have transformed into mermaids. They manage to find some up the coast from where they live: four girls called Cleo, Emma, Rikki and Bella. Together they work to stop Erik, but they don't know that Erik has been working with Charlotte, Cleo's arch enemy who knows their mermaid secret, and Dr Linda Denman, a scientist who knows all about their mermaid secret too...
