Simulators give them a taste of what they're missing on the surface, but this isn't enough for Laika. Feeling trapped by her duties and confused as to why nobody who goes to the surface ever returns, she begins to pine for the Earth she has read of in folklore; with consequences.
PS. sorry for the chapters being so short think of them more as parts - I don't have the time to write really long chapters :')
