Symphony

Fantasia Barrino spends her days working a job that pays the bills and her nights chasing music at a small jazz lounge in downtown LA. On stage, she feels closer to herself than anywhere else, but offstage, she keeps most of her hopes carefully guarded. At Ella's, she finds more than an open mic. There's an unspoken pull between her and another singer, Taraji P. Henson, built through shared nights, stolen glances, and the kind of recognition that doesn't need words. Neither of them has dared to cross that line until one song changes the atmosphere of the room. This is a story about timing, courage, and what can happen when you stop watching from a distance and finally step forward.
