It's been a year since the events of Enslavement happened and the Decepticons haven't been seen since, almost like they've disappeared. Optimus is not as optimistic as the rest. Led by the obsessive Motormaster, who has only one goal in life: To kill Optimus to prove he is the king of the road. Now Earth is a complete war zone as it becomes a four-way struggle for control between the Autobots and the humans, Decepticons, Insecticons, and Starscream. As we draw near to the end of phase 1 with an ending that we all know and fear, can the Autobots win the most important battle of their lives? Or will Starscream finally have his dreams of destroying Optimus and Megatron realized?

After they lose the key, they meet Airazor, a Maximal from another planet who lost her and her friends' home to Unicron. While searching for the other half of the key, they come face-to-face with the rest of the Maximals who have allied with humans and their leader, Optimus Primal. This journey will forever change Sonic and Lilac's lives. Can the two anthropomorphic friends survive this adventure and make it back home, or will they meet defeat at the hands of Scourge and Unicron? This story is a slight reimagining of Transformers Rise of the Beasts, originally written by Darnell Metayer, Josh Peters, Erich Hoeber, Jon Hoeber, Joby Harold. My retelling has new characters: Sonic and Lilac.
