Mature
(There will be three parts in this series)
Jesse Reed, seventeen, had a rough childhood. His mother was addicted to drugs and his father wasn't very present. To no one's surprise, given his childhood, Jesse began struggling with addiction when he was fourteen. His now sober mother forces him to go to meetings that help teens with addicted family members. There, he sees Audrey, a girl from school who is also being forced to go by her mother, who he's never much cared for. As their relationship evolves from absolutely hating each other to connecting due to their mutual struggles, their own issues threaten to destroy their fragile relationship.

Take Courage, My Heart

44 parts Complete Mature

If he had known danger, death and vampires would follow, he would have asked for disownment. *** Jesse Parker was never particularly close to his family, but when he ends up in a behavior modification facility he regrets not having cut ties with them. With nothing left to lose but his life, he fights for it and puts himself right between the fangs of an insatiable, sadistic vampire. All he wanted was freedom, but death was so much more attainable. And if he made friends and fell in love on the way to getting his life back, well, that was just part of the fun. *** UPDATES EVERY OTHER MONDAY Content Warning: This story contains kidnapping, physical torture, body horror, graphic depictions of violence, coercion, attempted murder, death/dying, blood, depiction of addiction, drugging, human trafficking, psychological abuse, mentioned sexual abuse, verbal abuse, trauma, mild PTSD, night terrors, insomnia, explicit sexual content, swearing
