The institute where students are trained not in the art of warfare, but in the art of combat through creative disciplines, gets a new student in the middle of the year. That does not happen often.

Marinette has only one goal - quietly finish the BOARD's order and return back home, hopefully forever. But getting it done is made harder by two young men who take interest in her presence. A war is approaching and she is to be one in the front line. Navigating through the secrets of people and the state, she tries to lie low, but with her luck, it's not going to happen.
