"Lan Juyi..."

The soft whisper slipped from Ruo Hua Yan's lips as she knelt quietly beside the sleeping girl on the sofa.

"Juyi... Julie..."

She said the name again, almost like a prayer-words meant for no one but herself.

But that was enough.

To be near her, to breathe the same air, to say her name even if only in secret-that was enough to fill Ruo Hua Yan's heart with quiet warmth and unbearable ache.

If only I could stay like this, even if you never look my way. Even if you never know.

Even if you never feel the same... I still want to stay beside you for the rest of my life.

"I want to be with you for as long as I live," she murmured at last, the words trembling like her smile.

Ruo Hua Yan smiled painfully.
