Clara Selwyn knew she was different the moment her magic started showing. What she didn't anticipate was just how different she was nor the type of magic she held. Despite being trained by some of the best witches and wizards of the time, there was still much Clara needed to know and one person in all of the history books that may have the answers--Miriam Fig. With the aid of the Keepers, an old blueprint from the Restricted Section, and the Golden Trio, Clara found the ability to retreat through time.

She intended to summon a portal to bring her to Miriam Fig, but she miscalculated. What she found was even more dire than she imagined. What's worse is that it wasn't in any of the history books.  The very magic that coursed through her veins was at risk under a goblin rebellion that no one in her time had ever heard of. The only option was to enter the portal, retrieve as much ancient magic as she could to prevent the rebellion from gaining power, and return home before anyone found her out. Their plan was foolproof. 

It all became easier said than done the moment she met her counterpart. The perfect match to her magic. The person who set her soul on fire.
