P̶h̶o̶e̶b̶e̶ Dahlia Black's life line on her palm was broken, forked, is what she had been told by her aunt Walburga Black when she was but 5 years old during Samhain in 1965. With one line fading off into her palm half-way only to return later and fade off again, while the other one faded in as the first one disappeared, then faded out, then faded in and stayed until the end.
She wasn't the only one with a forked life line, her mother Dahlia Black, née Prewett, also had one, and hers was more severe than the young Lady Black's.
And unbeknownst to everyone, as soon as Dahlia Prewett's forked life ended, her daughter's was just beginning, tilting the young witch's life upside down in ways that not even her Unspeakable mother could have foreseen, in ways that would have her family rolling in their graves, in ways that would shape up the wizarding world as she knew it.
