{~• The main character, Luka, has trapped his soul into his computer. His family was convinced that he had died since they couldn't find him for months. Because of this, they sold his computer at a yardsale, making a guy named James buy it without knowing that a whole person was trapped in there. When James got home and set up the computer, he saw Luka in the background of the computer, making him want to destroy the computer, but Luka convinced James to not destroy the computer by saying that he'd help keep away viruses on the computer. (idk what else to add, but this is my first story, so please give me tips on how to make it better) ~•}

I never thought my life would be like this; trapped in a dark room and scared for my life. A blindfold was wrapped around my head, covering my eyes, making me completely blind and on high alert. My breathing was ragged and I could smell the mold that was most likely covering most of the room. My hands were tied behind my back, my feet tied together and I was sitting on the floor, propped up against a wall. I heard a slight shuffling across the room that was coming closer to me. I tried my hardest to keep my breathing under control to seem confident and fearless, but in reality, I was shitting my pants and squealing like a scared little girl on the inside. To say I was terrified was a drastic understatement. I was petrified, shaking with fear, but they were not going to know that. "Who are you?!" I demanded. If I was going to die, it would be with the name of my kidnapper. A voice boomed closely to me, "Well, if I told you that, this wouldn't be any fun." **************** Skylar James, a 24 year old girl, is kidnapped by a very well known gang who has a vendetta against her family. In an attempt to find light in her situation, she makes friends with one of the members. Logan Grant was forced into the gang at the young age of 16. He was abused until he became emotionless and ruthless, so that one day, he could rule the gang. Everything was going smoothly until Skylar is brought in. With a blindfold wrapped around her head, he instantly feels bad for her, though he cannot show it. Afraid of getting caught, he shows no emotion while others are around. Though, behind closed doors is a whole other story.

❖2021 Watty Awards Shortlist❖ Kevin was just a normal 10 year old kid until he saw a woman vanish right before his eyes. This made Kevin just a little bit different. He paid more attention to people now. Little did he know that this little difference would kill him the next time he encountered another alien about to return home. It would tear him apart, cell by cell, until he was unmade. His mind being transported away. --- So distantly far away there is a race that advanced to the point where they built dyson spheres to house their civilizations. In their continual expansion, they seeded galaxies with pods and connection satellites. Over time they upgraded their dyson spheres into matryoshka brain Cores. Imagine a computer powered by a star. Citizens of Cores no longer age once they upload their minds into the virtual living system of the Core. While they didn't age, most still choose to cycle through life and death though at a different scale of time compared to our lives. Citizens can visit other planets and live there as if they were on a "vacation". Mercury is Earth's hub connected to the closest Core and Earth is a remote vacation spot for wealthy citizens. When the main character was 10 he witnessed a citizen returning to the Core. The story continues 10 odd years later when he again witnesses a similar situation unfolding and manages to touch the person returning to the Core. This causes him to be swept up in the transfer as well and for his mind to join as a "Guest" user of the Core. As a Guest he has limited powers, a starting balance of zero cr or Citizen credits, and no idea how he can get home. He is the first human to ever become a Guest of a Core. Where money itself is the highest form of their science.

As I leave, the cold British wind greets me. I zip up my sweater, and start walking home. Thanks to my parents, I don't have a car. "You're too irresponsible for a car, Courtney. You can always save up for one once you leave this house," my father had scoffed when I asked him. I walk at a fast pace, hoping to avoid any random strangers lurking in the dark streets. "Hey, darling. What are you doing all alone in the dark?" I hear a voice ask. I pick up his deep, British accent. I ignore him, and start jogging. Just a few more streets... I hear his swift feet, and he grabs me from behind, pressing a wet cloth on my face. He drags me behind a building. My muffled screams are the only noise in the silent night. I try to break from his strong, yet careful hold. I wiggle under his grip, but he only lets out a sigh. "Shhhhh...don't scream...everything will be alright...shhhh..." he whispers. I feel warm tears slide down my face, and my eyesight blurs, and I stop screaming and escaping. The last thing I see are the swaying trees. Then... Raven Storm

24 parts Ongoing

Some storms come and go. Raven became one. Raven Storm has learned to survive in silence. At home, she hides bruises behind bandages and fear behind a blank stare. At school, she's the outcast-judged, hated, blamed for something she couldn't control. The world turned its back on her. So she did the same. Then came him. The boy who won't stop talking. The one who looks at her like she's worth seeing. The one who says he understands-but never says why. Thrown together for a class project, Raven and Adrien are forced into each other's lives. She just wants to stay invisible. He's hiding something beneath every smile. They were never meant to trust. Never meant to care. Definitely never meant to fall. But fate doesn't ask. And secrets don't stay buried forever. Because Adrien isn't who he says he is. And Raven's father isn't just a monster-he's a target. In a world of lies, violence, and betrayal, the only thing more dangerous than the truth... ...is the way they're starting to feel. Well, I am shit at writing summaries or something like that so I asked my bestie Chat gbt ; so yeah! Enjoy! BTW: I going to be completely honest I reread the first few chapters and they may be a little rough to read in terms of grammar and so on but I promise it gets better in the further chapters. I apologize beforehand.
