It's been two years since the Snake was defeated and Agatha and Tedros were married in an elaborate fairy-tale wedding.

It's been two years since the coven of Malice 66 vowed to be the protectors of the Woods.

And it's been two years since Hester swore off her best friend.

A mystery is underway in Foxwood. Every month on the full moon, two children are stolen away, and as the protectors of the realm, the coven vows to get to the bottom of it. When their plan to catch the culprit goes horribly wrong, Anadil and Hester are trapped in the manor of Bloodbrook's baroness. It soon becomes clear that the baroness is tied to the case of the missing children, and the witches create an elaborate plan to solve the mystery. But no triumph comes without a price. As they race against time, an accumulation of secrets, memories, and emotions comes to a head, and Hester and Anadil are faced with a choice: do they want to fly away, or will they trust the fall?
