The forbidden fruit
The Icewing prince Iceberg was born with a magical gift that hasn't appeared in his royal family for years. He had the mysterious animus powers that were so rare in every tribe of Pyrrhia. He was taught since his very young age, that every animus dragon that ever appeared in the tribe had one big purpose in life - delivering a gift to the whole tribe, that would benefit everyone. A catch was, that this was the only spell that he could ever cast and when gifting the tribe, he had to give away his animus powers for good. As he slowly began to reach his seventh birthday, his Mother- Queen North- grew very impatient with his gifting ceremony. By the time an animus turned seven years old, he had to make his gift. But Iceberg never liked the idea of giving away this awesome magic, casting only one spell in his entire life. He wanted to explore his power and try helping everyone he could. Some things just don't go according to plan though and Iceberg has to face terrible twists that may deprive him of his own life. Snowflake was a normal icewing dragonet. Blueish-white scales and a disciplined, icy personality, living within his parent's sixth circle. As normal as normal can get. He had no idea how much his life was about to change. His goal was to become the highest ranked adult dragon in his family, and his dream was already in reach. He just turned six years old, and through hard work and tiresome training, he had made it to the top of the fifth dragonet circle. If only he could reach the fourth circle by his seventh birthday, he would be happy with being an upper-middle class citizen of the ice kingdom. However, there are many dragons attempting to thwart his success. The lowerclass icewings are jealous of his advancements, while the higherclass are skeptical. While dealing with these challenges, Snowflake discovers a strange rock after following a streak of light deep within the tundra. Upon touching the rock, his claws fill with power unlike any other. A week after the incident, an elderly nightwing meets him at the edge of the icewing border to deliver a special message: Behold the power of the stars Beware, for you may bear invisible scars Your talons of ice Will no longer be used to slice But this new power you possess May leave you in distress Cease your strife And become a dragon of life Else, you will be a dragon of death Heed my warning till' your final breathComplete
Magic, Visions, Betrayal
The story depicts two perspectives, both from different side of this tribe rivalry. Princess Cerise of the Skywings was originally blind from an Icewing accident at the Skywing Wingery. After her Kingdom had been terrorized by Seawings, especially the Seawing animus Marine, everything changed off course. The Skywings forged an alliance with the Sandwings after Dawn had cured Cerise's eyes, but nobody knew that Dawn had put a spell on the Skywing tribe to worship her and the tribe. Princess Hurricane of the Seawings was a secret animus of the Seawing tribe. She loved her sister Marine, and was desperate to guide her sister to the right choices and paths once realizing that her dear sibling was losing her soul one by one, turning colder. When the Skywings attacked her royal family during a gathering, Hurricane was dragged into a final battle, revealing her magic, and making choices to save the day, and her life. As with firescales dragonets, the ancient SkyWings were certain that animus dragons were too much of a threat to be allowed to live. Those hatched with the curse were killed upon realization of their gifts, before they could do harm to the tribe. But one animus wasn't afraid of his tribe, but for it. He knew the vulnerability that his tribe could face in the event of war.
