Orchid is the most loyal guard in the Northern Kingdom- but her past actions may affect her status and damage her relationships with her peers. Tragic accidents and grudges catch up to her and slowly her mind begins to trail off into dark places of war and loss, but all she knows is she has one goal: Kill. Mira.

Mira is the Northern Kingdoms median, her abilities being able to communicate with the dead ancestors of her kingdom. Her relationship with Orchid is tainted with betrayal and loathing and Mira doesn't know if it's safe to go out alone with her anymore. As she struggles to mend broken relationships, her greatest sins resurface and threaten to have her executed all while she is being targeted and attempting to resurrect her late husband.

Wren is a solider for the Northern kingdom, but his blood stays with the Southern Kingdom. After a devastating series of events in his childhood, not only is his face scarred but his reputation. Wren can't stop the rumors and attacks from his own kingdom, but he can try and forever end what Mira has begun in the Northern Kingdom but slowly rumors spread she is attempting to bring back the dead, and Wren realizes he may be able to bring back his wife- the only problem is he has a husband now.

This is a fic about all of my ocs lore!! I am not a good writer and doubt ill get 2 chapters into this but hope if someone reads this they enjoy it.

It's a sweet and deep romance about two characters negotiating their feelings for each other while life is doing everything to tear them apart. The characters have such mature conversations and, there's no reliance on the miscommunication trope at all. I'm *obsessed.* If you enjoy intriguing fantasy novels with deep and thoughtful themes, check out 'The Gifts of Mortality' by @eleanorkennedy14 . It explores the concept of mortality and how it gives life meaning through the eyes of both gods and humans. The story follows Samil, the god of the Festivals and the Arts, who is shocked by the apathy of his fellow gods when a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death. Despite finding no support among his kind, he's determined to help the humans, which sets him down an interesting course. There are lots of great twists in this novel, and I also loved seeing how queerness was worked in throughout both the immortal and mortal realms. Samil is a sweet and refreshing character to root for who is determined to see the good in the world.
