Princess Sofia had won a bet with her royal sorcerer Cedric on who could conjure a better paper crane (much to Cedric's dismay). Sofia's win called for Cedric to accompany her on one of her storybook adventures. (I haven't watched this show in a while and don't know whether she still does these or not. This is supposed to take place after the show ends.) What happens when Sofia and Cedric get transported to the modern world, and the Phoenix falls in love with the Eagle? And what if the Eagle becomes the most powerful Phoenix of all?
