Verilulia is a country in Europe right between Austria and Italy. Don't bother trying to look it up on a world map because you won't find it. That's because this country is inhabited by sorcerers and other magical creatures, who very much like their privacy. So much so that the Kings and Queens of the five kingdoms, also known as the Elders, put a protective barrier around the country that no human could ever penetrate. Had a human wandered across the border they would simply find themselves transported to the other side, unless they were given permission to enter. It was a huge yet simple rule in Verilulia that all citizens knew about. Never reveal yourself to a human. You could live among them, but you could never reveal your magic to them, and you especially could not fall in love with one. In this small country only inhabited by sorcerers not many major conflicts happen. Many of the sorcerers go on with their day minding their own business. It was peaceful. That is until the day children start to go missing during the night without a trace. Peyton Messier is a bookworm living in a small town, someone who was different from the rest of the country. Prince Xavier Knight is the quiet genius, someone who would someday rule the Kingdom of Rubellite. Not that he really wants to. Two very different people living two different lives, but all that is soon going to change when the path of these two people intertwine, possibly changing the world forever. Then again, maybe they'll kill each other first.

[!] MUST READ [!] --- In a land where everyone is born with magic, one boy has none. Kaelen Verenth, fourteen. He keeps his head down and trusts the path laid out for him, until the day he steps beyond his door and finds a realm of blades, scholars, and whispering circles who all serve a pattern they can't name. Roads feel rehearsed. Encounters click into place. The world moves as if someone is turning a page he hasn't seen. There is a mind behind the curtain. Everywhere and nowhere. It bends truth in small ways at first, a shadow that moves after its owner, then in ways no one can ignore. He isn't meant to notice. He isn't meant to ask. Yet he does. When the Loom trembles and the rules begin to slip, the only child without a spark may be the only one who can pull the right thread. "Reality isn't real, cults worship glitches, people vanish either willingly or unwillingly. The System is not your ally." --- What to Expect: ▰ Skill, tech, magic. ▰ Morally complex protagonists. ▰ Slowburn Worldbuilding following character growth. ▰ Typical fantasy elements. --- Updates weekly. --- [!] Original work, do not distribute.
