Wishborne

Visva -or Vis- knows what she wants to do. She just needs to get through three more years of high school, and then the whole world opens up to her. She's happy floating around school, watching rather than participating. She's perfectly content with her three friends, one of them being her slow-burn crush since 8th grade. Her life is mapped out and right on track.

Except that drastically becomes true once a stranger awakens her magic, making her a Wishborne in the process. Now she has magic that she can't control and doesn't completely want, as well as a secret that if she tells anyone she could die. The only option she has is to track down the person who awakened her and get him to reverse it, or have her magic consume her because of a Wish she refuses to grant.
