Daniel Anderson is a 15 year old boy that is from New Zealand but lives in the oil rich country of United Arab Emirates in 1990.He and his family live there because his dad works for an airlines and they are stationed there with other families with there parents as pilots. This summer things would change and Dubai where Daniel lived would turn into a war zone as Iraqi forces try to crush the wealth of this countries liquid gold. During the invasion of the country Daniel finds an injured enemy solider and tries to help him before anyone could find out since American troops were arriving in the city.
